I don't know why some people think you need to sequence break to make any progress after beating Nazrin: you're supposed to go fight Ichirin to get the underwater swimming upgrade, which lets you then go through the waters in Murasa's area and let you fight her, who gives you the ability to lift heavy blocks, and THEN you're supposed to get the Boots upgrade through the passage that opened up to you in Ichirin's area.

Indeed, getting the Boots right after Nazrin sends you down the completely wrong path, making you believe the Magic Bomb is the item to get afterwards...which involves you going through two whole ass new areas without a single boss fight. Isn't
.................
Would you be so kind as to mark were the bosses are with their names and powerups? I'm dumb as shit and have no idea were to go next after the underwater fight

Sure, I was planning on making an upgraded map from last page that includes more information. Only thing it doesn't state is what the item upgrades are right now, but I could revise it again to add that information if needed. Special thanks to
Dice13K for creating this complete map first by the way.

I've also made a map that lines out the "intended' path, but it's a little hard to read. Still, if it proves useful...

I love this circle's games to death but the dealbreaker for me is always the inability to skip/speed up a large part of the scenes, is there a way that i'm missing or do I have to bust out speedhack again?

Edit: Turns out if you hold S it skips the scene, found it in the thread for Youmu's game.

I just don't get why H-game devs insist on making their games as comically obnoxious to play as possible. It's a consistent theme in these Japanese side-scroller pixelart type games for some reason. I can't be the only one who really doesn't want to put in tryhard effort into playing a porn game lol. Sure I could spend a few minutes per enemy learning how to perfectly deal with them, but who the hell plays these games for that?

Combine that with enemies respawning if you leave the room and it quickly stops being "difficult" and just becomes pure tedium.

Hard? It's not even remotely hard. I don't know why people automatically assume annoying == Hard. Annoying means it's annoying, not difficult.

The player has minimal ability to attack vertically. The game abuses this by making bosses jump spam like a rabid bunny and spam projectiles from all directions, often putting you in positions where dodging is nigh impossible. There is also no iframe dodge whatsoever so good luck getting past literal walls of projectiles.

Once you get all the range upgrades and ability to reflect all projectiles, it becomes somewhat more tolerable because you can at least roll over most trash mobs, but the bosses are still absolute trash to fight. The game goes overboard exploiting the player's inability to attack vertically to the maximum which doesn't make for a particularly fun experience IMO.
